Tribal ministry
- In various parts of India, there are several tribal areas, which receive little or no focus from local, state and national governments of India. These areas are quite remote typically accessible only by walk for at least a couple of days. For decades, these tribal areas are neglected in all aspects of development: education, healthcare, basic amenities and economic development. Without development in tribal areas, India cannot experience all round development. IDRF has taken upon many tribal welfare projects through its NGO partners who are committed to bringing development activities to the remote corners of India.
- Typical tribal welfare projects
- One-teacher schools (education)
- Mobile medical vans (healthcare)
- Sanitation education
- Indigenous methods for economic methods
- Teaching modern farming techniques
- Adoption of remote tribal villages for all-round economic development
- Facilitating student exchange programs
- Preserving culture and heritage of tribal’s while facilitating assimilation of tribal’s into mainstream India
Tribal Welfare Projects
- Jesus mission in cosmos is Christian organization (registered non profitable charitable trust) with a real heart & vision to reach rural villages with the Gospel of Jesus Christ and to provide practical care and social works.
Around 73% of people in India live in villages and as a result many of these places contain millions of people that are unreached with the Gospel and are often forgotten about. Many are living below the poverty line without proper food, accommodation, clothes and do not have access to education and medical facilities. In addition there are many thousands of orphans and semi orphans or abandoned street children.
Jesus mission in cosmos is an a organization that is committed to holistic Christian mission and is concerned about people, including their spiritual, physical, mental, social well being, in light of the great commission of Jesus Christ and the biblical mandate given. Our primary work at this point of time is village evangelism and our secondary work is providing a vital level of social service and also working and encouraging other independent rural village pastors.
- We are experiencing much blessing and seeing rapid growth in the districts we are currently working in as a result of being committed to the Lord's ministry in these areas, but as we enlarge our hearts towards this new work we realize how important it is that we seek the help and outside support of likeminded people who want to share in accomplishing these important tasks! We need to sustain the evangelism and social works we have begun in a variety of ways and so if you feel you are able to help and take seriously the task of praying and encouraging please read on and discover more about what God is doing through
Please consider how you could participate and in these exciting opportunities that we have been given at this time. We at Jesus mission in cosmos ministry are passionate about serving the Lord in this new mission opportunity and we need his help through his people to pursue and explore ways of coordinating our efforts as we seek mission partners.
“This service you perform is not only supplying the needs of God’s people but is also overflowing in many expressions of thanks to God".
Because of the service by which you have proved yourselves, men will praise God for the obedience that accompanies your confession of the gospel of Christ, and for your generosity in sharing with them and with everyone else. And in their prayers for you their hearts will go out to you, because of the surpassing grace God has given you.”

Village Care Program:
- Medical ~ we are aiming to establish free primary health care centers and a mobile clinic for the welfare of poor village people. The lack of local facilities is a strong contributing factor to their high incidents of disease and death.
- Aids Awareness ~ we would like to conduct Aids awareness programs among the village people who are often uneducated.
- Village Improvements ~ many villages are undeveloped without proper water and roads and we want to help provide these basic needs and thereby demonstrating God’s love for them.
- Education ~ we want to run free tuition centers in most village areas and ultimately establish Christian schools using both Tamil and English languages.
- Build Permanent Churches ~ If we can build permanent churches for communities to meet for worship and teach from God’s word this will attract many more people who are often put off by meeting in people’s homes.
- Agriculture/Horticulture ~ we want to provide seeds and plants for growing crops and provide basic equipment and irrigation. Training programs for students in schools and local village people are
Old Age Home
The traditional support structure of the family is increasingly unable to cope with the problem. In a world where the joint family is breaking down, and children are unable to take care of their parents, millions of elderly face destitution. The emerging demographic profile and socio-economic scenario of the country indicate that matters will worsen dramatically in the years to come.
India is in the phase of a rapid demographic transition. Life expectancy is increasing while birth rates are on the decline. The share of population above the age of 60 is growing at a rapid rate. Those who cross the age of 60 are expected to live till or beyond the age of 75. This has not sufficiently dawned in the minds of our people. They tend to be myopic and are not saving sufficiently for old age, a period of 15 to 17 years beyond the age of retirement.
There is a serious threat that persons who were not below the poverty line, might sink below the poverty line in their old age, since not enough savings have been made by them.
On the other hand, they have to incur heavy expenditure on health, neglect of which will only worsen their quality of life. Destitution and ill health could lead to rampant devastation of life of aged people under such circumstances.
Populations, worldwide, are ageing. In India, while the total population is expected to rise by 49% (from 846.2 million in 1991 to 1263.5 million in 2016), the number of aged (persons aged 60 and above) is expected to increase by 107%, from 54.7 million to 113.0 million, in the corresponding 25 year period. In other words, the share of the aged in the total population will rise to 8.9% in 2016 (from 6.4% in 1991). Population estimates further suggest that the number of the aged will rise even more rapidly to 179 million by 2026 - or to 13.3% of the total Indian population of 1331 million.
In this scenario we Jesus mission in cosmos has a great proposal to help not only India. But every nation with different approach.
To reach the unreached at list in their olden day with gospel of Jesus Christ. With better life and care person? First, it ought to be recognized that many of the efforts require much advertizing in this age. The emphasis in the appeal is almost always on things rather than on Christ, and this ought to suggest a fault from the start. It does not "herald" or announce Christ, but an evangelist, a speaker, entertainment, a church program, friendship, or something attractive to the natural man. The result in the case of church related efforts is that some may be encouraged to come into the church without being changed through the regenerating work of God. The further result is a pervasive deadness in the church — churchianity instead of Christianity. In other words, the church and Christians should be careful, by all means, to make clear to people that the object of primary concern is their relationship to Christ. Until this is clear, preaching will not communicate the Gospel as it ought.
The unique aspect: Not just another orphanage
JMC ministries Children’s Home is not just another orphanage.
JMC child charities have carefully studied many cases and have identified the root causes of the major social stigmas of South Asia. Illiteracy and poor health and sanitary conditions rates among the top reasons. Through its St.Jeruseam public school, JMC improves the literacy and sanitary conditions of neglected rural communities.
JMC Child Charities Working with Law Enforcement In addition, JMC works closely with law enforcement agencies to prevent kidnapping and aides in tracking down the relatives of the lost children.
The four elements that make a productive citizen:
1. The parents: Each child has a caring parent
JMC understands the importance of each child having a mother. JMC selects well qualified women who are dedicated and passionate about the task of becoming a responsible mother who is caring and serious about the well being of each child.
2. The siblings: Each child experiences a family
3. The House: Each family creates its own home
The house is the family’s home, with its own unique feeling, rhythm and routine. Under its roof, children enjoy a real sense of security and belonging. Children grow and learn together, sharing the responsibilities, joys and sorrows of daily life.
4. The Community: The JMC’S family is part of the community
Children at JMC Children’s Home never forget to help another person in need. They are assigned duties that help other people in need in the community. Instead of isolating them from the real world, the children are made a part of the community by accepting the responsibility of helping others less fortunate in the community they live.

St .Jerusalem public school / Village school
Illiteracy is not just ignorance; it is often the difference between freedom and bondage. A sense of shame and insecurity constantly haunts the illiterate.
Jerusalem public school Millions of women and children in the rural areas of India are deprived of their basic rights as human beings and are victims of modern day slavery, child prostitution and AIDS, just because of illiteracy. They did not have the opportunity to go to school, cannot read or write, and are isolated from the rest of the world.
Each year thousands of children below the age of ten are becoming victims of the slave trade because of the growing illiteracy rate in India.
